Homework – This will be fun! Journalists have to get their point across in very few words. They have to write short but be powerful. Over the next two days, find examples of favorite “writing short” and record in your WN or bring it in to share with the class on Friday. For example: powerful bumper stickers, tweets, baseball cards, aphorism (effective saying). Due Friday
In class today, you drafted news stories centered around a social issue that you would like to address like the bullying story. Or you may have thought of a social issue they would like to address and took notes on events you have witnessed and turned them into a news story that strings the scenes together to address that issue and prove a point. This may be the news story you chose to publish or turn into their documentary with Peter Logue. If you didn’t complete a full news story in class, you must finish it for homework. It will be due on Friday when you come to class.
Trouble Chapters 8-11 and character traits due Tuesday.
