For the 2015-2016 school year, Mr. Brzezowski is offering three after-school programs for students in grades 4-8 to learn programming using the Scratch programming language from MIT. Please contact Mr. Brzezowski if you would like to help with the classes. He is also looking for 2 dedicated parents to create a Lego Robotics group.
Session 1 Students use computer science to tell fun and interactive stories. Storytelling emphasizes creativity by encouraging club members to tell a unique story each day. Dates: 12/1 – 12/4 & 12/8 – 12/11 (8 days)
Session 2 In Game Design, students learn basic video game coding concepts by making different types of games, including racing, platform, launching, and more! Dates: 2/22 – 2/25 & 2/29 – 3/3 (8 days)
In Sports, students use computer science to simulate extreme sports, make their own fitness gadget commercial, and create commentary for a big sporting event.
Dates: 5/3 – 5/6 & 5/10 – 5/13 (8 days)
