About Me
I have been a nurse for a little over 20 years, graduating from NYU Nursing School in 1995. I have worked in hospitals, clinics and home care, but school nursing is one of my favorite jobs so far!
I’m also an Integrative Nurse Coach – helping people make healthy lifestyle changes. I believe that healthy eating, exercise, good sleep, fresh air and time with the people we love can go a long way in keeping us healthy.
I grew up spending summers in Southwest Harbor and always wondered why on earth we were going home to New Jersey in September. I moved here in 1997 and not one September has gone by that I don’t feel extra lucky to be here.
I live in Somesville with my son and my husband. When I’m not at school I love spending as much time as I can in our national park enjoying this incredible place we live

About Me
I arrived on MDI in 1968–fresh from UMO—taught physical education and coached girls sport teams for four years. In 1979 I drove a bus for the district. In 1984 I arrived at Pemetic to be an Ed. Tech. in grades K-8 and later taught health classes. I am now working with grandchildren of students I had three decades ago!
During the last 35 years I have worn many hats: Ed. Tech., bus driver, coach, physical education teacher in every grade except 3rd, math in middle school, class advisor.
My home is in Bernard where I kayak, sail, garden and read to my 12 year old cat-Hermione (named by my grandson when he was 7.)

About Me
I’m the bookkeeper and office manager here at Pemetic. I joined the Pemetic Family in August 2011. I handle accounts payable and receivable as well as the lunch accounts along with many other tasks. I enjoy helping staff, students and parents. If I can’t help you, I will find someone who can. I’m also the yearbook advisor for Pemetic so if you see me wandering with my camera, smile!!
I love to spend time with my husband, my kids and my granddogs, Rocky and Teufel. Photography and scrapbooking are my hobbies along with spending time in my garden. Summer is my favorite time of year with camping and boating!

Michael NewmanEd Tech IIIAbout Me
I’ve been at Pemetic since 2017. I am a graduate of the University of Maine in Orono with a BA in History and Secondary Education. I work in Middle School Special Education doing in-class support, pull-outs with groups and one-on-one, and a little bit of everything else. I also help with the school newsletter and website.
When I’m not at school, you’ll find me playing drums and singing at church, doing photography, graphic design, watching all Boston sports, doing nerdy things like building computers or playing video games, and hanging out with my family. You might also find me on the sideline of a Pemetic sports event snapping pictures. If you want pictures of your child, please email me! I’d be thrilled to send them to you.
