About Me
I’m the bookkeeper and office manager here at Pemetic. I joined the Pemetic Family in August 2011. I handle accounts payable and receivable as well as the lunch accounts along with many other tasks. I enjoy helping staff, students and parents. If I can’t help you, I will find someone who can. I’m also the yearbook advisor for Pemetic so if you see me wandering with my camera, smile!!
I love to spend time with my husband, my kids and my granddogs, Rocky and Teufel. Photography and scrapbooking are my hobbies along with spending time in my garden. Summer is my favorite time of year with camping and boating!

Sarah McNamaraEd TechAbout Me
This is my first year here at Pemetic and I’m excited to be a part of the team! After graduating with a BA in Art and Design and a minor in Environmental Sciences from the University of Michigan I did skilled work for several years. I spent my time as an artisan, thespian and contractor building museum installations, sets, props, and giant concrete pots. The last few years I’ve gotten to help teach artisan skills to high schoolers working on the Ellsworth theater productions. Spending the last two summers as Program Head of the Arts Specialty program at Camp Beechcliff, I realized that I wanted to continue working with kids as an educator.
When I’m not at school I enjoy playing music, making all kinds of things, and spending time with my husband and our cat Chips.

About Me
My Name is Ellen Nolan, I have been at Pemetic for 23 years and I am a Title I Ed Tech in the Reading Room. I have lived on MDI my entire life and I also attended Pemetic as a child.
I live in Bar Harbor with my husband Robert and my dog Milo and I have one child, a son Conrad who also went to Pemetic.I enjoy hiking, swimming, paddle boarding, snowshoeing, baking and reading non-fiction. Some of my favorites are the colors green and purple, the season of fall and the game of basketball. If your child qualifies for Title I assistance with reading you will be notified with a letter sent home from school. Goals are set and sent home at the beginning of the year, or whenever your child becomes eligible for services. Title I reports come home at the end of each semester with student report cards. They list the goals your child is working on and a narrative description of the progress your child has made that trimester. -

Susan PetersonEd TechAbout Me
I love helping people and feel so fortunate to be able to be a part of the team at Pemetic. I have been working supporting children in education for over ten years, and have a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Education, Elementary Education and Special Education.
I grew up visiting my relatives in the summer on Seawall road, and moved here to live year-round the first chance I could in 1997 after graduating from college. I also grew up having a difficult time learning how to read and write and found out later in college that I have Dyslexia. Being a person that grew up having challenges in school helps me have a deeper understanding of what some of the students that I serve are going through and that is one of the reasons why I find my work so satisfying.
I feel blessed to live with my family in Southwest Harbor. When I am not at school, I enjoy getting outside in Acadia National Park.
