I have been at Pemetic since 1993 working as an educational technician, Title I teacher for grades 3-5, and have taught grades 2-8. I am currently the Middle School 6-8 grade reading and writing teacher. I have been teaching middle school for 15 years. I am also a member of the Certification/Induction Committee and the Middle School Planning Committee for AOS 91.
On a personal level, I live with my husband in Bass Harbor. We have three children between us who are out on their own. Drew is in the doctorate program for engineering at UMiami, Lexi is lobster fishing on two, sometimes three, boats, and Seth is an assistant golf pro at TCP Golf Course in Naples, FL.
I love being outdoors in the warm weather (Not so much the cold!). Being on and near the water is also love of mine. I enjoy relaxing at the beach or on my deck reading (A LOT) professional and personal books. Fun facts about me…I’ve jumped 30,000 feet out of airplane and swam with Casper the Friendly Gator!
CommunicationThis most effective way to communicate with me is by email. You may call me at school and leave a message, but I may not always be able to answer the phone during the school day while I am teaching – 244-5502 ext. 4220. It may also take longer for me to respond to a voicemail than an email. I will often send a group email to students about upcoming events to remind them. I recommend checking in with your children and asking them about any papers/emails they may have received from me. They should all have a homework folder/binder and an assignment notebook with the necessary information.
