(207) 244-5502 ext 4202 – French Room
I am excited to teach PreK-8 French this school year! I look forward to building a language program where students gain understanding and skills beginning at the youngest ages. The skill areas on which we work are Presentational, Interpersonal, and Interpretive Communication, by making connections through cultural perspectives, cross-discipline connections, language and cultural comparisons, and through community building to be lifelong learners.
I attended the University of Maine with a Minor in French, a Bachelor’s in Music Education, a Master’s in Conducting, and I have my Doctor of Musical Arts in Music Education from Boston University. You might also see me driving the bus when needed and for after school events. I play clarinet/saxophone in local orchestras, musicals, and a dixieland band, as well as conduct the Ellsworth Concert Band summer series since 1997.
My passion is to instill creative and critical thinking in students; I love witnessing inspired moments!
