Reporting Student Progress
At the end of every trimester, a progress report will be sent home. The Pemetic Middle School is standards-based, where students have specific standards for each class they are working toward completing by the end of the school year. Therefore, the traditional trimester report cards are truly progress reports in our school since many standards are taught and assessed throughout the year.
Assignments are still recorded in Powergrade. This can be used to see what work is done and not done for assignments. It is not a place to see how a child is progressing on standards.
Students receive scores of 4, 3, 2, and 1. These scores are explained below. Not all assignments and assessments will provide opportunities to exceed the standard (a score of 4).
Scoring Key:
1 = attempted but is far from meeting the standard(s) in this content area at this time
2 = is approaching standard(s) but will need to do additional work to meet the standard(s) in this content area at this time
3 = is meeting the standard(s) in this content area at this time
4 = has consistently exceeded the standard(s) taught and assessed at this time.
OT = On Track
NYA = Not Yet Assessed
